Houses for Houstonians

by Star Furniture on January 10, 2014

Star Furniture is excited about the opportunity to give back to our community, which is why we are a proud sponsor of KPRC’s Habitat for Humanity House.

From January to March, Star associates and other members of the community will join forces to build a home for a deserving local family.  And you can monitor all of the progress, right here on starfurnitureblog.com.

Here’s the build site as it currently stands:

What is Habitat for Humanity?
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian organization that builds simple, decent, affordable housing for those in need. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Americus, Georgia, Habitat for Humanity was founded by Carl Umland. And in the past 26 years, the organization has put 3,000 Houstonians into homes, building in more than 15 neighborhoods. It’s easy to get involved, whether by volunteering or donating.
