Auberose: A collection inspired by European architecture

by Star Furniture on January 17, 2017

It’s the beginning of a new year, yet a traditional artisan style never seems to lose it’s appeal. Our newest collection by Hooker Furniture, Auberose, is a prime example of such a captivating selection of artisan pieces. They are created with a familiar look inspired by the past, described as a “European Country collection infused with Old World flair.”

If you’re a fan of the classic traditional look, yet unsure of what this description entails, I sincerely urge you to read on!

The European Country style of this collection reflects a Tuscan style ambience – think rustic, sturdy furnishings with elegant iron accents and earthy, pastoral hues. Auberose will make you feel like you’re starring in your very own Under the Tuscan Sun rom-com, and it’s wonderful. 🙂

An effortless touch of Old World flair mixes in with your European country-side fantasy for an even more authentic style characterized by a broken-in look, emulating wear and tear of use.

The presence of a comfortable, worn, regal look combined with elegant, grand forms is undeniable- it permeates the Auberose line, such as the classic Auberose Rectangular Leg Table or the alluring Auberose Four-Door Credenza:

Pair this credenza, available in a soft charcoal or a warm brown finish, with the beautifully carved, beveled Auberose Decorative Mirror. This mirror even looks good placed above another intriguing accent piece, the Auberose Hall Console:

Three artisan finishes, which include a soft charcoal, a warm brown, and an antique white finish, are available for various pieces across the collection and complement each other magnificently! This makes mixing and matching pieces in different finishes look so effortlessly good! ;P

For example, these next pieces are available for custom order in all three styles. The charming Auberose Panel Bed accompanies the beautiful Auberose 8-Drawer Dresser brilliantly, especially when paired with a different finish!

If you come by our showroom you’ll see how we matched the Auberose Panel bed in a soft charcoal finish with two different nightstands, the Auberose Three Drawer Nightstand and the Auberose White Painted Accent Chest:

As one of our interior designers at Star, Mary Strong, points out:

“Something that many guests are leery to do is go with two different nightstands. They feel like everything needs to match. Here’s a beautiful example of how you can do the hand painted fleur-de-lis chest, and use the nightstand with the darker finish as well.”

Additionally, these non-matching pieces give you a bit more freedom when it comes to playing with the bedding, which can really be the finishing touch to help pull the entire mixed look together! 🙂 What’s there not to love about this collection?

Come swing by our showroom to see for yourself! And don’t forget to share this blog post with your friends! <3
